Peer Group Co-ordinator

Denny Stroke Group is an independent group, insured by and affiliated to Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS). Our aim is to support people living with stroke through social interaction so that our members can enjoy life.

We are currently looking for a volunteer who can take on a flexible role as Peer Group Co-ordinator.

The time commitment would be 1 afternoon per week which is when the group is held, and any committee decisions are made. Other than this, there might be some paperwork which you can do from home in a way which fits around your schedule. Once a year there will also be an AGM meeting.

In the peer group co-ordinator aspect of the role you might be:
• Acting as the main contact for CHSS, volunteers and members
• Setting up and clearing the room
• Organising refreshments
• Taking the register and collecting subs
• Meeting and greeting new members
• Organising and taking part in the programme of activities
• Supporting and taking part in fundraising e.g. raffles
• Promoting the group

To find out more about the role or apply, contact Georgia Freyne for an informal chat 07756876063 or email georgia.freyne@chss.org.uk.
