Book Keeper

Sound financial controls and management play a critical role in good governance and we are looking for someone to help the Trust achieve this. Our existing Bookkeeper and our existing Accountant are due to retire so we are looking for a new person. You will work closely with the Treasurer and other members of the Board of Trustees. You will keep a record of invoices, credit notes, funds received, and monies spent. You may be asked to get involved in the everyday financial operation of the trust reviewing such things as banking, till receipts, gift aid and general duties associated with running a successful charity operation. This is a great opportunity to use your skills to help a small charity that has big ambitions.

Volunteers are encouraged to take part in an induction programme for new volunteers. There will be opportunities to meet up with other volunteers. A reference can be provided on request. You will be working as part of a friendly, hands-on team.

A background in book keeping and accountancy would be great but an affinity for numbers and a commitment to community heritage a must.
