Adult Volunteers

Adult volunteers are the heart of Girlguiding. Weekly meeting and events would not happen without them.

We are looking for enthusiastic, hard working, reliable volunteers to become part of our unit leadership teams. Our unit leadership teams plan and run weekly activities for girls that help them learn and grow. New volunteers start as unit helpers and can upskill to qualified leader though our Leadership Development Programme.

There are roles available in all of our sections:
Rainbows aged 4-7
Brownies aged 7-10
Guides aged 10-14

Experience required

No experience necessary however, volunteers should be sensible, reliable, willing to join in, willing to lead activties and be an active part of a leadership team.

Travel details

We have Rainbow units in Glenmavis, Clarkston and Airdrie town centre. We have Brownie units in Glenmavis, Clarkston, Airdrie town centre and Calderbank. We have Guide units in Glenmavis and Airdrie town centre.
Volunteers should be able to make their own way to unit locations.

Support
Training details

All necessary training will be provided by Girlguiding. Ongoing training and support is provided.

Taster

If you are uncertain whether volunteering is for you, we can arrange a visit to one of our units where you can see what our units get up to and decide whether you think you would like to be part of this.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 18
You will be required to go through the PVG process and complete safeguarding training.
