Are you looking to make a meaningful impact in your community? Do you have a heart for helping others? Join us as a Volunteer Care Home Companion and bring joy and companionship to residents in care homes!
As a Care Home Companion, you will:
Visit residents in care homes to provide companionship and support.
Engage in conversations, share stories, and participate in activities.
Help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation among residents.

Kind-hearted and empathetic individuals.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliability and a commitment to regular visits.
No prior experience needed – just a willingness to make a difference!

Travel expenses
Mileage is reimbursed @ 45p per mile. Public transport fares reimbursed, receipts required

Minimum age: 18
Availability
Frequency & commitment
Minimum of 1 hour per week
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
