Volunteer at Cornhill Soup and Sandwich Cafe

Cornhill Soup and Sandwich Club, currently runs once a month, on the third Thursday at Cornhill Community Centre from 1100-1300. There is an opportunity to volunteer to help support the running of this, arriving at the community centre at 10am to help set up the tables and get everything ready for 11am. Throughout the two hour service you would be involved in taking orders and serving the soup and sannies to each table, as well as chatting with all the individuals who attend. Once service is over we clean the facility from 1300-1400. If you are interested there could also be an opportunity for you to get involved in the kitchen helping to make the soup and sandwiches, for this to happen we would need to firstly put you through your food hygiene certificate. This could be a good opportunity to develop your skills and get involved in your community.

A great opportunity to help and make a difference in the local community. If interested in helping/for more information please contact Carol Baig, Wellbeing Co-ordinator at E Mail: cbaig@aberdeencity.gov.uk or telephone: 07799860899

Experience required

You don’t need to have any skills, as you can learn as you volunteer, however been able to communicate effectively with varying age groups would be beneficial.
