Cornerstone House Centre
- VO102334
Cumbernauld Community Health Information Hub serves as a central resource and first-stop shop for local health and social care information and support. Accessible every weekday at Cornerstone House Centre, the Hub offers a library of health resources and materials and operates as an important conduit between the community and health services.
Volunteer Community Health Information Hub Assistants will support the daily operations of the Health Information Hub, assisting visitors in accessing health resources, providing information and facilitating connections to relevant services. This role is pivotal in promoting health and wellbeing within the Cumbernauld community, with volunteers involved in maintaining and organising health information materials and promoting health and wellbeing campaigns locally. Supporting the planning and execution of Community Awareness Raising drop-in events and other health-related activities will also form part of this position.
Experience required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are desirable, allowing volunteers to effectively interact with diverse community members. A compassionate approach to assisting individuals seeking health information is also necessary.
Moreover, volunteers should have the ability to manage and organise informational materials systematically and a willingness to take initiative in updating resources and suggesting improvements.
