Are you passionate about supporting older women and creating meaningful change in Glasgow?
Join Common Thread Vision (CTV) and become part of a dedicated team helping to shape the future of a growing community-based charity. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees and support our work in Pollokshields and across Glasgow.

Common Thread Vision is committed to improving the health, wellbeing, and social connection of older women, particularly those from ethnic minority communities.

Reduce loneliness and social isolation
Improve health and wellbeing
Encourage independence and confidence
Promote social connection and community participation
Provide opportunities for learning, creativity, and personal development
What We're Looking For
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting local communities and helping charities make a positive impact.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, ages, abilities, skills, and experiences. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive Board that reflects the communities we serve.
Previous trustee experience is not required. Training, guidance, and support will be provided.
We recognise that caring responsibilities, work commitments, or other personal circumstances can sometimes make volunteering difficult. If this applies to you, please let us know and we will be happy to discuss ways to support your participation.
The Role of a Trustee
As a Trustee, you will:
Attend approximately 6 – 8 Board meetings per year (around 2 hours each, held in person and/or online)
Help guide the strategic direction of the charity
Ensure the charity operates in line with its charitable purposes and values
Act in the best interests of the organisation and its members
Support good governance and responsible decision-making
Work collaboratively with fellow trustees to help achieve the charity's objectives
