About this event

As a festival volunteer, you will sign up to an afternoon, an evening or a nighttime shift - stewarding the music and dance spaces, invigilating the artworks, and generally engaging with the visitors. On-site induction and PPE will be provided, alongside support from Volunteer Supervisors and Event Managers.

Volunteering details

Get involved with this year's Hidden Door Arts Festival, held at the old SAICA Factory in Maybury - soon to be transformed into The Paper Factory. Sign-up as a festival volunteer to invigilate artwork, support visitors into the site through the box office, engage with the public during the free entrance slots, steward queues and event spaces, and generally act as a friendly face of Hidden Door.

Travel details

The Paper Factory is the old SAICA Factory in Maybury, 1 Turnhouse Road, Edinburgh. Our What Three Words for the site are: crew.leaves.warm

Support

Training details

A full on-site induction and support to use relevant PPE will be provided. At the beginning of each shift the Volunteer Supervisors (responsible for a certain group of volunteers) and Festival Manager (overall responsibility for the event that day) will make themselves known, go through Health and Safety, and answer any questions.
