Caseworkers also sign-post clients onto specialist local services for advice on benefits, housing, mental health, debt, finding work and more.
SSAFA's volunteers caseworkers provide an essential source of support to the local Armed Forces community, but volunteering is also well documented as bringing numerous rewards to those who give their time, including a sense of pride and an opportunity to give something back.
Wendy Taylor, Volunteer Development Manager said 'Our charity and it's volunteers are proud of their long-standing heritage and all the work we do in Inverness and the Western Isles, across the rest of the UK and worldwide'. Through volunteering you'll have the chance to meet inspiring people and you'll also gain new skills and experiences, but most importantly, you'll make a difference to those who have dedicated their lives to protect and serve country.
