Parents For Future Scotland
- VO103019
Join Our Board of Trustees
We are a grassroots group of parents and carers concerned about climate change in our own communities and across the globe. We are part of a worldwide movement.
Parents for Future Scotland is calling for urgent change at individual, community, corporate, and structural levels to protect our planet and secure a climate-safe world for all children and future generations.
We meet monthly online and also connect via WhatsApp and in person. We offer mutual support to plan and organise actions that educate, influence policy, and bring people together with a shared sense of purpose—to create real, positive change.
Why Join Our Board?
Are you passionate about combating climate change and making the world a better place for future generations? Do you believe in the power of community and the strength of diverse voices? Parents for Future Scotland is on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals to join our Board of Trustees.
Join a passionate and dedicated team who have built this movement from the ground up.
This is an exciting time to get involved. We gained charitable status in March 2024 and have expanded our team and community engagement. We know our approach works—one in three parents who attend our talks go on to join our movement.
We are serious about challenging the systems that drive climate change and making the world more liveable for all children. Your skills have never been more needed.
As a trustee, you’ll have the opportunity to:
• Shape the strategic direction of our charity
• Collaborate with others who share your commitment to environmental justice and sustainability
• Advocate for policies that protect our planet and future generations
• Amplify the voices of local parents and communities
• Be part of a supportive, like-minded group fighting for a better future
We suggest a time commitment of 5–10 hours per month, but we recognise that many of our members are parents and carers. We offer flexibility and a strong support network, because we know that life sometimes gets in the way.

We welcome expressions of interest from anyone who shares our values. Please tell us a bit about yourself and outline any skills you have—or would like to develop.
