Time Commitment: Approx. 6–10 hours/month (quarterly board meetings, subcommittees, and strategic input). Expenses: Reasonable travel and related expenses reimbursed
Partners for Inclusion is a values-led Scottish charity that provides bespoke, person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health support needs. Since becoming an independent charity in 2004, we have worked closely with families to design support around each person’s unique needs—with handpicked teams and working policies tailored to the individual. We are looking for new Trustees who can bring fresh perspectives, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to inclusion. This is your opportunity to help shape how support is delivered and experienced across Scotland.
We Are Particularly Interested in People with Proficiency In:
• Trustee/Board Experience: Familiarity with the third sector or social enterprise; sound understanding of good governance, compliance, and risk/audit management.
• Regulatory Frameworks: Knowledge of statutory and regulatory frameworks in Scotland, including HSCPs, the Scottish Government, and outreach structures.
• Care Sector Lived Experience: Insight into the care sector, particularly around self-directed support, individual service funds, and person-centred approaches.
• Marketing & Communications: Ability to raise awareness of our bespoke support model through modern, innovative communication methods—both internally and externally.
• Technology & Systems: Expertise in digital systems, process improvement, internal reporting, or enhancing communication and engagement through tech.
• Business Development: Experience in income generation and funding strategies to help diversify and strengthen the organisation’s financial base.
• Voluntary Resourcing: Ability to identify and establish meaningful volunteer opportunities within the organisation.
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and especially encourage interest from individuals with lived experience of disability or caring roles.
