Befriender

This is a befriending service for older and vulnerable people who are isolated and housebound and otherwise would have no company. Volunteers find befriending very rewarding as it provides a valuable service for lonely people in need and helps them keep their independence at home. It also gives them a chance to speak with people from all walks of life with interesting tales to tell.

Experience required

Clients are scattered all over North East Fife. Some would just like a phone call every week, others would like a house visit or to go for coffee or a drive in the car. Volunteers can claim back for fuel costs incurred
