Community Hub Volunteer

Knights Templar Goodwill Charity of Scotland is dedicated to alleviating poverty and assisting those in need in Scotland by providing essential care packages, food, clothing and long-term support for veterans, homeless and those living in poverty.

How would you like to be involved in providing this vital service to those in need? Community hub volunteers are required to assist with activities including sorting food and clothing donations, issuing food packages, preparing essential care packages and making refreshments and preparing snacks (no cooking is involved) for those attending the social space. These activities are vital to the service users and more hub volunteers are required as the charity continues to grow. The hub operates on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and you can choose a time which suits you best to volunteer.

Experience required

Knights Templar are looking for enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for their aims to get involved. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required for this role.

Travel details

This opportunity takes place at the Community Hub, 12 Thistle Street, Cowdenbeath, KY4 8LP which is accessible by both private and public transport.

Travel expenses

Reimbursement of travel expenses will be discussed on an individual basis.

Support
Training details

Volunteers are given a full induction and training within their role. Ongoing support will be provided by a named contact.
