Little Acorns is a social enterprise delivering the highest quality nature-based and holistic learning opportunities for children and families in Ayrshire and SW Scotland.
We are currently looking for Site Maintenance/Practical Support Volunteers. This is a varied role that can involve helping out with various different practical tasks. These include simple path maintenance, helping to tidy up at the end of a busy session, fixing signage, repairing play equipment and basic forestry skills like coppicing
Everyone who volunteers with us is different, but we ask anyone who works or volunteers with us to act in a way that reflects our values. This helps us make sure you feel you belong and means we can make a meaningful difference to people’s lives and provide the best service possible.
Experience required
We are ideally looking for practical people with some basic DIY skills. All our volunteers complete induction training, which helps you settle in and makes sure you have the knowledge and support you need for your role. We also offer additional training relevant to your role if you want to broaden your skills more widely.
Travel details
We offer travel expenses to our volunteers.
