Trustee/Board Member

Levenmouth Foodbank was set up by Local Churches in response to local need as part of the Trussell Trust national network of foodbanks. A desire to help people in a non-judgemental way and contribute to improving their circumstances is central to the work of the service. Current operations include:

Levenmouth Foodbank is looking to appoint new Trustees who live and/or work in Levenmouth. Prospective applicants are expected to be aware of Charity Trustee legal duties and responsibilities for which training can be given.
It is expected that candidates have good communication, interpersonal and writing skills with the ability to work within a team and to contribute to problem solving.

Experience required

Levenmouth Foodbank is looking to appoint new Trustees who live and/or work in Levenmouth. It is expected that candidates have good communication, interpersonal and writing skills with the ability to work within a team and to contribute to problem solving.

Travel details

Meetings are held every 2 months on a Monday evening, usually in the Foodbank at 3-5 Bowling Green Street, Methil KY8 3DH. In addition, situations may arise in which Trustees may be called upon to perform additional tasks.

Travel expenses

Public transport costs are reimbursed and mileage rate is 45p per mile.

Training details

Induction will initially be an introduction to Foodbank activities, tour of the building and meeting fellow trustees. Support from other trustees will be continuous, as required. More structured training is available from time to time from Fife Voluntary Action.
