Peer Support Volunteer

Central Wellbeing is a peer support mental health charity established in 2021 and based in the heart of Falkirk dedicated to providing compassion, understanding and a safe space for those navigating the challenges of poor mental health. Central Wellbeing do this through facilitating peer support groups and community activities in the Forth Valley area.
Help create a warm, welcoming space where people can connect.
Central Wellbeing are looking for a Peer Support Volunteer to join their Forget Me Not Café - a friendly and supportive space for older members of the community who may feel lonely or isolated.
You’ll help with simple tasks such as setting up the space, offering a warm welcome, keeping cups topped up and supporting a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere where people feel comfortable to chat and connect.
This is a rewarding role where small acts of kindness can make a real difference. You don’t need any experience - just patience, a friendly approach and a willingness to connect with others.

Experience required

No formal experience is required.
Warm, patient and able to create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Being a good listener, showing empathy and being respectful of others’ experiences are key to this role.

Travel expenses can be reimbursed - will be discussed with volunteers.

Support
Training details

The Volunteer Coordinator will meet you and support you in this role, based on individual requirements.
