Community Support Worker

VOLUNTEERS REQURED URGENTLY DUE TO DEMAND FOR OUR SERVICE
G66 Community Response is a charity supporting the vulnerable and elderly in the G66/G65 post code areas. They have opportunities for those interested in volunteer Coordinator and Admin roles. Own laptop/iPad required, full training and ongoing support provided. Can you spare a day each week to assist with admin duties for a local friendly run community group based in Kirkintilloch. Can you use email and WhatsApp? Could you take email referrals via your phone and coordinate requests for support using WhatsApp? This is a unique opportunity where volunteers can support the elderly and others without being stuck inside or in front of a computer screen. You can volunteer simply using your mobile phone from wherever you are.

G66 Community Response are also looking for volunteers for a variety of services. G66 CR support those in need with Shopping, Prescription collection, Patient Transport, light Gardening, and Friendly Phone Calls. There is no minimum hours to volunteer, just whatever free time you have, even one hour a week can make a huge difference to those supported by the charity.

Volunteers can travel by means of their own vehicle, public transport, by foot or bicycle. Public transport costs and mileage are covered and paid monthly.

Minimum age: 16
Patient transport volunteers must be 21 and over

Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
