Cooking Befriender

Meal Makers is a local neighbourhood food-sharing project that connects people who love cooking, and who are happy to share an extra portion of home cooked food, with an older neighbour who would really appreciate a freshly prepared meal and a friendly chat.

Time required to complete would be roughly 2 hours per week or fortnight and times are agreed between yourself and the diner. They try where possible to match people locally so this can be fitted in alongside your other commitments

Experience required

No previous experience is required just someone who enjoys cooking and is happy to chat with a local elderly person. Good communication skills and reliability will be needed for this role.

Travel details

Volunteers can choose to be matched with elderly people across Fife. You will be paired with someone local to you, within a short walk or car drive of your house.

Travel expenses

Travel expenses can be discussed on a case by case basis.
