The Lay Representative on COSCA's Ethics Committee will:
- help with organising and leading our annual ethical event
- assist with the development of ethical guidelines as required
- the investigation of complaints against members of COSCA
- attend meetings of the Ethics Committee to discuss ethical issues impacting on counselling
Experience required
• not to be a counsellor or psychotherapist, a member of COSCA, or work for a member organisation
• to be able to work in a small team
• to be interested in public protection
• to have had some experience or knowledge of an ethical framework or set of professional standards
• to be able to understand and process ethical dilemmas.
Travel expenses
Agreed out of pocket expenses for travel to meetings of the Ethics Committee.

9 August 2023 - 19 July 2025
Restrictions
Minimum age: 13
Availability
Volunteers (aged 13-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
