Engine Driver

Operated by of Ayrshire Railway Preservation Group, formed to preserve and restore railway engines and rolling stock whilst operating a living museum to provide train rides to the public on open days together with an educational resource for local schools

Required to undertake shunting training and/or STOKER positions which may take a number of months with inhouse training, schedule permitting.


A level of fitness required to undertake a demanding role


Travel details

Bus service Ayr/Dalmellington passes road end every half hour

Induction day one, code of conduct and health and safety. One to one mentoring to provide support
