Are you passionate about social media and want to make a difference? Aberdeen Youth Movement is looking for a Social Media Content Creator to join our dynamic team! As part of our social media crew, you’ll help us create engaging content and manage our online presence across X, Instagram, BlueSky, and TikTok.
-What You’ll Do:
• Collaborate with our team to design and post exciting content across our social media channels
• Help manage and oversee our social media accounts, keeping everything active and engaging
• Promote events, opportunities, and campaigns to reach and inspire young people across Aberdeen
• Work with a creative and supportive team to develop new ideas and strategies

No experience is required as full training will be provided.
Travel details
This role will include content creation and coordination of social media accounts - approx 2.5hrs a week which can be done remotely.
Aberdeen Youth Movement's steering group meets once a month from 6pm - 8pm for 2 hrs in the city centre which is a requirement of the post.
There are a number of events and meetings across Aberdeen City that are possible for our volunteers to attend depending on their availability.
Support
Training details
Excellent support and relevant training is provided to all volunteers. New volunteers will be given support and development sessions every three months and will also be paired with a peer mentor for their first 6 months. Ongoing support for volunteers is available anytime via the AYM staff team. Training for various opportunities within AYM is also provided.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
For young people aged 16-25 years
Frequency & commitment
Flexible times available to volunteer. All help makes a real difference and is greatly appreciated.
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
