Project Esperanza

Project Esperanza is looking for peer and mentor befrienders to help build and maintain community relationships by promoting the mental health and social well-being of chronically ill and socially isolated people. The aim of the service is to improve the physical, mental and social well being of people and help improve their outcomes by helping them to navigate health and social care systems and make informed choices, to gain an improved sense of belonging in the community.
Travel details
12c MacMillan Square, Edinburgh.
Travel expenses
Lunch and travel expenses paid for as per expenses policy.
Support
Training details
Training at the beginning and twice a year a refresher training will be completed.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 20
Availability
Volunteers (aged 20-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
