Group Activity Volunteer

Mere Apne is a community group based in Milngavie which provides a safe welcoming place for older
people to socialise. The focus of the group is for people from the Indian Community in East Dunbartonshire
who are over 60. The group meets every Monday; there is food, music and a range of activities all with the
aim of creating social interaction and improving people’s health & wellbeing.
Describe the volunteering Opportunity
We are looking for volunteers to help at our group. We are looking for assistance with setting up before the
group and clearing away afterwards; help in the kitchen, serving refreshments and generally helping out at
the group which is on 1-4pm on Mondays in Milngavie.

Experience required

We are looking for someone who will be friendly and welcoming, prepared to get stuck in practically setting
up and clearing away.

Fraser Centre, Milngavie (Temp closed until March 2026) currently meeting in a venue in Glasgow
