Digital Inclusion volunteer, providing digital support & advice.

As a Digital Inclusion volunteer, you will be providing digital support & advice and assisting people to learn new digital skills and become confident in accessing digital tools.
GCP’s Digital Inclusion project is designed to reduce the barriers of digital exclusion for asylum seekers and refugees. The project aims to support community members to be provided with the right equipment, have access to data and broadband and have the skills and confidence to go online.
This is a great opportunity to develop valuable digital and communication skills, to build relationships with fellow volunteers and partner organisations, and to gain valuable practical experience in supporting others in a safe environment.
A range of devices including Chrome-books and MiFi devices will be distributed to community members on loan and the devices will be set up with all relevant software and applications.
Regular training and workshops will be run to develop people’s knowledge and digital skills and ensure they are fully supported.

We ask the volunteer to commit to 2 hours per week to support the Digital Inclusion Coordinator with training and workshops.
