IT Specialist Volunteer

LOOP Theatre is a Scottish charity that provides people with additional support needs the opportunity to learn, create and perform together. We connect with and invest in people, enabling their talents to be shared with the wider artistic community through our weekly drama and theatre sessions.
We are a small, friendly team behind the scenes and are looking for volunteers with digital, creative and technical skills to help us tell our story, engage with our community and support our day-to-day operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your talents to make a positive difference within an inclusive arts organisation.
Volunteer tasks may include:
• Supporting and updating our website
• Creating graphics and promotional materials
• Taking photographs at workshops, performances and events
• Producing and editing video content
• Assisting with social media, marketing and communications activities
• Providing basic IT support and helping to maintain digital resources
Whether you have professional experience, are studying, developing your skills, or simply have a passion for creativity and technology, we would love to hear from you. We will work with you to identify tasks that match your interests, strengths and availability.
Support for Volunteers
All volunteers receive a full induction and ongoing support from the LOOP Theatre team. A named member of staff will provide guidance, supervision and regular check-ins to help you settle into your role and build your confidence. Training and support will be available where needed, and we are committed to creating a positive, accessible and enjoyable volunteering experience for everyone.
Time Commitment
This is a flexible role, typically involving around 3–4 hours per week, mainly during weekday hours. There may also be opportunities to support weekend performances, events and special activities throughout the year, depending on your availability and interests. We ask volunteers to commit for at least six months where possible to help provide continuity and enable volunteers to get the most from their experience.
We are committed to building a volunteer team which reflects our community, if you're from a background which is often under-represented in volunteering we'd especially love to hear from you!
We have several other volunteer roles available which are either community facing or behind the scenes, which you will be able to find on Volunteer Glasgow's portal.
If you are interested, please click the ‘Apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone. If you don’t hear back within 5 working days, please contact the organisation using the provided details. Check your junk/spam folder for responses. If there’s still no response, contact Volunteer Glasgow at [email protected].
