No two days will ever be the same as each day comes with a new set of enquiries and learning opportunities. As a General Adviser you will support members of the local community with a variety of enquires, such as:

Relationships
Housing
And much more!
General Advisers empower clients to understand their rights and understand what options they have so they can make informed decisions. As a General Adviser you could be helping your local community in the following ways:
Conducting appointments - by phone, email or in person
Researching advice and options and providing this to clients in clear manner
Managing client expectations
Ensuring client confidentiality
Updating and maintaining case records.
Identifying social policy concerns
*As we commit to Scottish National Standard our General Advisers are also required to volunteer 6 hours per week.
General Adviser's who complete our online Adviser Training Programme receive 10 level 6 SCQF credits (equivalent to Scottish Highers)
Availability
General Adviser shifts are Monday to Friday; 10am -12.30pm & 1.30pm - 4pm. Flexibility of times can be discussed at interview.

Experience required

General Admin / Office Support; Literacy / Numeracy; No Expertise; Phone Support / Information Giver

Travel expenses

Travel Expenses for driving and bus tickets.
Lunch expenses up to £4.00 if full day volunteering and lunch bought.

A mix of online Elearning training and 1:1 support.
