Cumbernauld Family Hub is a dedicated training, resource and support service for local families. As a Volunteer Family Hub Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with various activities and services aimed at enhancing the quality of life for families in the community. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in community service.
Key activities will include supporting the planning and execution of family-oriented events and workshops, such as craft sessions, educational programmes and recreational events, as well as assisting in organising and distributing resources to families, ensuring materials are accessible and available as needed.
Volunteers will be welcoming and engaging with service users visiting the Family Hub, providing information about available provisions. Other key roles involve helping with administrative tasks, including maintaining records, scheduling activities and managing communications, and gathering feedback from participants to help improve and tailor services to meet community needs.
Experience required

Cornerstone House Centre is located centrally in Cumbernauld town centre, directly between Tesco Extra and Asda. From the Tesco Extra end, The Centre can be accessed by following a short walkway between Tesco Extra and the entrance to the Antonine Shopping Centre. The entrance to Cornerstone House Centre is at Esk Walk, just as the walkway reaches an undercover section.
Extensive town centre car parking is available adjacent to The Centre, and public transport routes are also easily accessible.

Appropriate out of pocket expenses will be provided to all volunteers.

Availability
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
